Colt Sauer Model 3000 Boxlock Drilling, #GG8221, 12 gauge over .243 Win. cal., 25'' Krupp steel blue finished barrels. French gray receiver is finely relief engraved with Germanic game scenes on two sides; depicting a bull elk on the right and stag on the left. The metal work is first rate with engraved screw heads, scroll and border engraving complementing the game scenes. The checkered deluxe walnut pistol grip stock has sling swivels, beavertail forend with Deeley style lever release, hard rubber grip cap, and ending with a ventilated rubber pad, providing a 14.5'' LOP. Other features include blade front sight with full-length filed rib, folding rear sights, double triggers, tang safety, Greener crossbolt, and side stalking safeties. Marked ''MADE IN WESTERN GERMANY'' on the left barrel and import marked on the right. Mfg'd 1976. In excellent overall condition, retaining approx. 98%-99% factory finish, with a minor spot of light corrosion on the right barrel, and clear factory markings. Stock is in excellent condition with sharp checkering detail and attractive figure, showing little use. Action is crisp, locking up securely. Bores are bright; rifling is excellent.
